To make basic stairs:

1) In radiant, make a 6x8x64 (height x width x length):

2) Press spacebar to make a duplicate of it, and place it right on the top corner of the first step you made:

3) Continue doing so until you get it to where you want.

4) Now, make a block that is 2 units wide and is as tall as your stairs. Make the length however long your stairs are:

5) Now deselect everything in Radiant and only choose the block you just made. Press 'X' on your keyboard to enter clip mode. Click some where in the 2D Grid View where you want the clip to begin and then click on another location and then press 'SHIFT + ENTER' on your keyboard:

6) Deselect everything in Radiant again. Now, only select the top part of the thing you just clipped. Press 'Delete' or 'Backspace' on your keyboard to delete it:

7) Now select only the block you have just clipped, and press the spacebar to duplicate it. Now drag it over to the other side:

If you want, you can clip the bottom half of the blocks that you made on the side of your stairs to look like this:

Just use the clip tool to make it look like the above image (optional). You can also raise the height so it looks like a wall + railing.

I've got Patch 1.2 and Patch 1.4 installed.

If I download that ModTool, is that enough?

Thanks for your help.
